It is not easy to really experience Dakar on your own. Sure,you will see a whole lot but in all probability,the Dakar experience will escape you without my expertise as a knowledgeable tour Guide. I have learned to love this city perhaps as one learns to love a beautiful yet wilful woman. For me to make a real and true connection with it, I have to live here, learn the landmarks but also know the local. I felt the city telling me to learn more about it first and I had to prove that I cared.

In fact,Goree was the major departure point in the slave trade and a UNESCO world heritage site.However,It served as a base for slaves from the 16th through the 18th century.
GOREE was the last African soil many slaves touched before being deported to the New World.
One of the highlight of GOREE ISLAND is the Door-of-no-return through which they were shipped never to return.It was their Farewell to Africa.

A 45 minute ride takes you to one of the natural wonders in SENEGAL.The PINK LAKE acquired its world fame thanks to its color but also thanks to organizer of the PARIS to DAKAR rally.The Lake owes it color to a high concentration of minerals and the presence of small tiny micro-organisms.
The Pink Lake is also an important center of cooking salt collection.
We will board the 4x4 jeep to experience salt miners extracting the salt from the lake,put it in small boats and pile it up. we will also visit a traditional FULANI village and take souvenir pictures with the village chief.
