Rila monastery is the most visited religious place in Bulgaria! It is directly connected with the Bulgarian history, dating from the early 9th century, when on the Balkans and in Europe hardly any other states have reached such of a cultural development! On the way to the monastery we will visit another UNESCO sight - the Boyana church, which represents some of the best examples of Medieval Prerennaisnce art!
