What's included?
The Italian meal would consist of four delicious courses, including wine, water, coffee and liqueurs. All courses are freshly made, from quality produce (not ready made dishes):
The vegetables used are seasonal, some are home grown on my little terrace or from a local farmer
The meat is bought directly from a butcher in the countryside.
Only good quality wine is served (either DOCG – label guaranteeing the quality and origin of a wine or ITG – typical geographical indication)
The water I serve is special, it is naturally lightly sparkling. I visit a spring in the south of Rome every month to bottle it at the source, especially for my guests
The olive oil is bought directly from the oil mill once a year, fresh, less processed with a taste different to those you find at your supermarket.
The range of cheese varies from soft fresh, to mild and seasoned ones. Depending on the time of year (mozzarella, stracchino, robiola, primo sale, caciocavallo, parmiggiano, grana padano)
Italian salami is from a local shop based on the season (parma prosciutto, speck, salami, mortadella)
Traditional liqueurs like Limoncello, and ones made with herb infusions to help digest better the meal.
