Day 1: Bucharest – Mogosoaia – Snagov

Arrival at Bucharest International Airport (only 25 minutes from the city). Your English speaking guide will receive you in the airport. Orientation tour of Bucharest: visit of the Old Princely Court, the first royal residence of Bucharest, built by Vlad himself. The Old Court church nearby is the oldest still functioning building in the city. These two sites will bring you right in the atmosphere of medieval Bucharest. Lunch will be on your own, but our guides will gladly recommend and transfer you to the best restaurants of the capital city. In the afternoon you will depart for the surroundings of the city, where you will visit the two beautiful sights of Snagov monastery and Mogosoaia Palace. Snagov Monastery is the legendary burial place of Vlad the Impaler, although his grave is empty to this day. The monastery is on an island of a lake, in the middle of one of the biggest forests around Bucharest. The walk there will show you great wildlife and flora. It was first built by Vlad during his rule. Today it still shows the original paintings and fortification tower. Mogosoaia Palace shows how the Wallachian aristocracy lived in the 17th century. The palace is the best example of the national architectural style, brancovenesc style. Return to the city in the evening. Dinner on own, or at a restaurant of your choice. In the evening transfer to your centrally located hotel. Check in and free time. In the evening transfer to Pescarus restaurant, for the best Romanian festive folklore dinner show with dance, all with the great view of the nearby Herastrau lake. Your first night in Romania will surely be a great experience.

Continue to Sinaia, the jewel of the Romanian mountain resorts. Visit one of the most important tourist attractions of Romania: Peles Castle in Sinaia. Known as the Versailles of Romania, the royal residence of King Charles I of Romania is considered the most beautiful summer royal residence in Europe. This castle alone is worth your entire trip to Romania. Afternoon arrival in the 800 year old Saxon city of Brasov. Next is the walking tour of Brasov. Enjoy the cobblestone streets on a specially designed tour that will take you back to the time of the Arab merchants who visited Brasov. See the gate of St. Catherine (the oldest in the city). Make your way in front of the Synagogue, the narrowest street in Europe and stop at the Black Church. Visit the church, the biggest one of Eastern Europe, with its 4000 pipe organ. It also holds the largest collection of oriental rugs in the country, and the room hosting the old gravestones is impressive. Finish the tour in the Council square, with its lively atmosphere. Personal description
My name is Andrei Brebulet, and I have decided to open my own travel company because, in my years of experience as a tour guide, I have realized that many of my guests, coming from big groups (such as cruise ships or bus tours), always were searching for an easier, but more exclusive way to visit my great country. My travels through Romania have taken me to some unique places, offering some of the last places in Europe where one can admire natural beauty, time old traditions, while benefiting also from 4 star hotels and restaurants.
Professional description
I have vast experience in tours of Romania, in all regions of the country. During these years, I have assisted the Chinese prime minister and the American Secretary of Defense during their visits, acting as their personal interpreters. I have also assisted a film crew from the Croatian National Television in making a documentary of two regions of Romania (Moldavia and Bucovina). To this, some of my former guests have also recommended me to other travelers, and you can also find reviews about me and my services on Tripadvisor as well. You can also find great pictures of my country if you follow me on Facebook. Recently, in between my tours, I also write on a blog about Bucharest.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to spend a great vacation in this wonderful country named Romania.
