Your tour begins when you are met by an experience local tour guide at the Festival Place Welcome Center located at the cruise ship terminal.
After a brief introduction your tour will begin with a quick stop at Rawsom Square, this is the main square in the city and home to the many Government buildings dating from the 1890's. You will move onto the Mansion of the Governor General of Bahamas, this a very important role as he is the Queens representative in Nassau.

You will then visit the chocolate factory to sweeten your taste buds with treats made locally. Then you'll visit the magnificent Fort Charlotte which is the largest fort in the Bahamas and the price includes a guided tour of this impressive defensive structure.

A trip to the shore to explore natural caves is next on the agenda and there is a good possibility that you will catch a glimpse of the 'Buffy Flower Bats' that are indigenious to the Bahamas and call these caves there home. The tour will also take in lake Cunningham with its spectacular views. A little souvenir shopping is catered for too, at the Queens Staircase. Another amazing place, for this is a canyon forced by slaves to hand carved in the 18th century
and later 66 steps hand carved by ancestors of those slaves to commemorate the kindness shown by Queen Victoria who emancipated slaves.

Before we head for what will for some be the highlight of the tour. Yes, we will be heading for the Rum Cake Factory where tasting of this product is definitely encouraged.

After this taste tingling leg of the tour you will head to view a spectacular 'Conch Show' this famous sea snail enjoyed by locals and tourist alike. It is also by many acounts known as the 'aphrodisiac' of the island.

We then head back home filled with happy memories of a fantastic excursion.
