All day trip with more than 200 km coverage
So, after picking you up from your hotel we will start from Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape - the interactive museum and the rock engravings from X century B.C.
If the weather allows us, we'll head to mud volcanoes. A good place for an offroader ad :) Azerbaijan is a land of almost half of all mud volcanoes in the world. Don't promise to show you this "half", but 15-20 will be enough for an unforgettable trip. Feel yourself as an adventurer of a new planet :) NASA researchers say that structures on Mars resemble these mud volcanoes. Don't forget to take a lighter. Some people find that these muds are therapeutic, but make sure you take some water with you to wash it off
Resume drive on the long road along the coastline. See deep water jackets factory, shipyard, dry decks, and onshore oilfields, which appeared in the movie - "The World Is Not Enough". Bibi Eybat mosque, dry decks
After that, we are driving through the city (we were 70 km away from Baku centre) to Ramana castle. It's one of the Absheron castle complexes. In total there were more than 30 castles/towers in Baku settlements, some of which are just ruins now, and we will visit 3 well-preserved castles. Just note that these castles are not like in Europe, they are not for permanent living
Then we will go to Ateshgah fire temple - in it's present state was constructed in 17-18 c, but it was a place of worship for many centuries before.
Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex
Two more towers/castles in Mardakan - now it's 22 m high.
We will have breaks for tea or lunch. Trip to Yanardag at night can be added upon request.
Price is fixed for a group of 1-4 persons if 3 people feel comfortable enough at the backseat of Nissan X-Trail.
